Jürgen Partenheimer: Lichtschwarm

White Cube Bermondsey
Until June 18
“Lichtschwarm”, the first London exhibition by Jürgen Partenheimer, will open at White Cube Bermondsey on 28th April - with over forty years of the Bavarian-born artist’s work to be exhibited.
Jurgen Partenheimer OT (Alle Wege) 1998
It's clear from Partenheimer's work that he enjoys playing with the viewer’s perception by
creating deliberate imperfections and regularly applying asymmetrical forms to his art. The Whitecube Bermondsey show, featuring paintings, sculpture, works on paper and ceramics will be testament to this.

One of the many impressive exhibits at Whitecube Bermondsey will be “La caida del humo”. This installation has been created using more than 250 delicate wooden rods coated in unbleached beeswax, and connected to string suspended from the ceiling to create a multifaceted model of metaphysical movement in space. A series of Partenheimer’s unique porcelain vessels will also be exhibited.
